Oak soccer is a community soccer league designed for for families and friends to socialize and have a fun throughout the summer. Our “goal” is to build community through the joy of soccer. Some are life-long players while others have never played before (i.e. the skill level varies greatly); many of the older players are on the field with their adult children.
Players are expected to put the joy of the game ahead of winning the game and are expected to referee themselves and others on their team.

History of Oak Soccer
In 2005, Oak Norton was mildly frustrated that he couldn’t find an adult soccer league in which he could participate. On occasion he tried to get people together but nobody showed up. Oak, however, was not dissuaded. He got a couple Utah county cities to post something in their newsletters about a free soccer league. People signed up on Oak’s website and he organized 7 teams to play each other that summer. He learned that a free league meant players weren’t committed to showing up, so in 2006, he organized the league around a small fee and gave everyone a league t-shirt. The league grew and players showed up for games. From then on commitment level and consistency increased. We are all indebted to Oak for his determination in starting and maintaining this league for 21 years. However, after some life changes, Oak moved to Davis County, making the Saturday morning commutes challenging. In 2025 Oak passed the reins of the league to a very honored Chase Tippetts whose primary intent is to keep the family-friendly culture of the league alive until his son brings his children to play. If you are interested, and can support a family friendly casual play, sign up and join us.
